Azure Open Source Day
For this event, I expanded the prior year's signature ASCII cow into a full creative
system built around fresh, expressive ASCII illustrations. Partnering with a writer, I developed
a library of witty, developer-centric messages and custom ASCII artwork that brought themes of
innovation, modernization, and open-source culture to life across social, web, email, blogs,
event banners, and online media.
To support a large event team and external motion partners, I also created a visual guidelines
mini-book that established character rules, layout patterns, tone, and usage guidance—ensuring
the system remained cohesive across all touchpoints.
